INTRODUCTION


Chartered Institute of Strategic Managers and Leaders is a not – for – profit professional body, legally established in the State of Delaware in the United States of America as a membership and certification institute with distinctive focus on Strategic Management, Leadership and Governance.
CISML is established to build, Advance and Support Aspiring and Practicing Strategic Managers and Leaders at all levels and roles: license members as Chartered Strategic Management Practitioners and help them to achieve Strategic Performance outcome in their workplaces which enable them to attain global employability, prestige and high earning in fast changing and highly competitive world.
The Institute is also purposed as the professional pace setter and standard bearer in Strategic Management and Leadership Development: Aligning Learning Contents and Qualifications with real workplace best practices, meeting the requirements of global Accreditation Bodies, Qualification Frameworks and academic institutions in the management discipline and then tailoring contents to continental experiences, relevance and performance requirements.

1. Grow the overall membership base and achieve the critical mass of Chartered Strategic Management Practitioners: Chartered Strategic Manager (CSMgr), Chartered Strategic Managers and Leaders (CSMgr L), Chartered Strategic Management and Performance Consultant (CSMPC) and Chartered Fellow (CF).
2. Accreditation, Recognition and Acceptance: Get accredited by globally recognized International Accreditation Bodies and Qualification Frameworks in Management, Leadership and Governance, which ensures that CISML qualifications and practicing licenses are recognized and accepted allover the world.
3. Employers Delight and Desire: Design learning contents and qualification structures that are properly aligned with workplace performance and career requirements, making CISML qualifications real world driven and CISML Members and Chartered Strategic Managers globally employable and consistently trusted to deliver high standards of performance.

STRATEGIC RELATIONSHIPS


CISML furthers its global presence and impact through establishing Strategic Collaborations. There are two direct operational relationships.
1. International Professional Affiliates (IPA)
These are franchisees who conduct and co-ordinate all the professional activities of CISML in each continent and nation. They are:
i. CISML Africa
ii. CISML Asia
iii.CISML Europe
iv. CISML U.S.A
2. Accredited Qualifying Institution (AQI)
Each International Professional Affiliate (IPA) is authorized to appoint an Accredited Qualifying Institution in each continent and/or nation, subject to the approval of CISML Global Council and Secretariat.
i. Each AQI carries out research in Strategic Management and Tailors its Curriculum to suit the continental and national requirements, while maintaining CISML Global Perspective and quality standard.
ii. Appoints Approved Learning Centres for marketing CISML’s programmes and conducting Qualifying Conversion Trainings (Standard and Accelerated) for candidates seeking membership of CISML.
To date, the qualifying institution in Africa is
STRATEGIC BUSINESS SCHOOL, LAGOS,NIGERIA
Strategic Business School is also the only institution collaborating with CISML to develop, co-brand, assess and award the Chartered Strategic Management Practitioners Status.
